• WHO ARE WE
    JKSC UK

The Jammu and Kashmir Study Center UK is a think-tank focused on in-depth research and study of Jammu & Kashmir. Our primary objective is to provide comprehensive and credible information about the region, aiding effective communication and understanding. We aim to promote objective study, encourage discussion and enhance knowledge of this important and diverse area.

    • Mission and Vision:

Our mission is to increase awareness about the region's history and current developments and to engage with key policymakers and legislative bodies to facilitate an accurate understanding of Jammu & Kashmir. Our vision is to be the leading source of knowledge on Jammu & Kashmir, promoting effective communication and understanding while advancing public awareness.

    • Why JKSC UK

The understanding about Jammu and Kashmir in the West predominantly focuses on the Kashmir Valley, often lacking factual accuracy and overshadowing the developments, unique identities and cultures of other regions such as Jammu, Ladakh, Gilgit Baltistan and Mirpur-Muzaffarabad.

    • Accomplishments:

We conducted events in the UK Parliament and engaged with key parliamentarians, organised workshops to explore the different regions of Jammu and Kashmir, and facilitated interactions with the real indigenous voices from the region.

The Chenab Bridge, located in the Jammu division of Jammu & Kashmir, is the world's highest railway bridge and arch bridge, standing 359 meters (1,178 feet) above the river.
